Veinwaveâ„¢
Veinwaveâ„¢ is the first vein therapy procedure that uses thermocoagulation (the surgical sealing of tissue by the application of heat) to effectively treat and eliminate both the smallest of lower extremity spider veins, facial veins and Rosacea.
Veinwaveâ„¢ utilizes high-frequency energy (microwaves) delivered through an ultra-fine insulated needle to heat the affected blood vessels. The procedure causes the sides of the blood vessel to stick together, preventing the blood flow causing the dilated veins to be visible, and results in the instant disappearance of the veins. The ultra-fine needle allows for precision, accurate treatments even in hard to treat areas, such as the nose and cheeks.
The procedure was developed by a leading vascular surgeon in the United Kingdom, inventor Brian Newman, M.D. Novi Vein’s Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D. trained directly with Newman in order to provide this specialized treatment to his own patients.
The Veinwaveâ„¢ system does not cause the pain many experience with laser treatments and veins treated with the system do not return. The treatment does not require bandages, and patients can resume their everyday activity immediately after treatment. A session lasts approximately a half hour.
The body tends to continue producing spider veins despite successful treatment. For this reason, follow-up intermittent treatments are often necessary. The Veinwaveâ„¢ treatment should not be used if you have a severe nickel allergy or you have a permanent pacemaker.
